Is it the summer yet?

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this at all, but I'm over the winter.  It's been way to cold here in New York City and there is talk of a winter storm coming my way tonight.  I'm ready for spring.  In fact, I'm ready for summer...because that's when my husband is due for leave. 

We've been separated for about two months now - with ten more months left on his tour - which means that the middle of his tour is at around July.  The current thing on my mind is when will he actually get to know when his leave is at?!

Ok, I'm now obsessed with the idea of cruising with my husband.  I'm eager to get the ball rolling with booking our vacation.  I thought it would be the perfect vacation because 1. he'll be done with traveling on a plane 2. we'll be able to go to a tropical location leaving out of NYC (Bermuda, to be exact) and 3. it's a very affordable way to travel!

I'm a fan of cruising Royal Caribbean.  It's still really nice for the price point.  Not as cheap as Carnival and  we all know what happened to the cruise ship that lost power recently that left from Galveston....  I'm more inclined to stay away from that particular cruise line and pay a little extra to be with a company that I've already cruised on for three trips.  I have nothing to complain about in all my experiences.  I've actually loved them all! 

So far, I've cruised the Western Caribbean, Eastern Caribbean and the Bahamas - all with Royal Caribbean.  I was happy to find that there is a cruise to Bermuda that leaves right out of New York harbor. 

Anyway, I'm just VERY antsy and this "hurry up and wait" business is getting old fast.  I want to plan my dream vacation NOW!  In the meantime, I'll just think of it longingly....
