Last Saturday, I had a very busy day because of my appointment with the florist and my first dress fitting. I had my mom bring the veil she wore in her wedding. It was such an honor to be wearing that with my dress. I'm just so excited to have that on when I say "I do" (again!) to my husband. The day went by so fast! I can't even tell you what else we did! My parents and I did manage to go to some craft stores to see if there was anything I could get for the wedding.
My family and I spent Sunday morning at church and preparing my dad's birthday feast the rest of the day. I had to leave yesterday afternoon, so we wanted to have our big dinner Sunday night. My dad's actual birthday was yesterday. In the morning, we went to one of our fav breakfast places to get some yummy breakfast tacos. You know, it's funny because when I moved to NYC and mentioned "breakfast tacos," I would get perplexed looks. When my husband first came to Texas, he was confused too. People don't know what they are missing!! With that said, you MUST take a look at this article in The New York Times titled, "New York Finally Realizes Tacos Are Breakfast Food."
It's interesting to me that Texan food is becoming so popular in NYC! Anyway, I wanted share with you some snapshots of my whirlwind trip back home via Instagram (@lilraerae86)!

ReplyDeleteBlue Bell is the bomb. I was so sad when I moved to PA from Alabama and couldn't find it.
ReplyDeleteSo jealous! I barely end up eating breakfast most mornings, that would be an amazing breakfast taco surprise!
